The Guggenheim, has been designed by the North American architect Frank O. Gehry, this Museum has been built on a 32,500 square meter site in the center of Bilbao. This represents an amazing architectural site. On one side it runs down to the waterside of the Nervión River, 16 meters below the level of the rest of the city of Bilbao. One end is pierced through by the huge Puente de La Salve, which is one of the main access routes into the city.
It is well worth walking around the entire thing to appreciate the extraordinary imagination behind it, and to catch the different colors reflected by the titanium stone and glass shell, meant to resemble fish scales.
